1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. On your next visit the website reads the cookie and in that way recognises your device, remembers your settings or measures how you use the website.
Besides cookies we also use other similar technologies: browser local storage, tracking pixels in emails, and the programming interfaces of advertising platforms. In this notice we refer to all of them together as cookies.
The controller is Nutrisslim d.o.o., Obrtniška ulica 4, 1292 Ig, Slovenia. Please send questions about cookies to [email protected].
In Ireland, cookies and other access to your device are governed by Regulation 5(3) of the European Communities (Electronic Communications Networks and Services) (Privacy and Electronic Communications) Regulations 2011 (S.I. No. 336 of 2011). That regulation requires your consent before we store information on, or gain access to information stored in, your device, and requires that you first be given clear and comprehensive information. The only exception, in Regulation 5(5), is for storage or access that is strictly necessary to provide an information society service you have explicitly requested, or solely to carry out the transmission of a communication. The Data Protection Commission supervises and enforces these rules and has published a Guidance Note on Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies (April 2020), which we follow.
2. How you manage your consent
On your first visit we show you a cookie banner. We set cookies that are not strictly necessary for the operation of the website only after you have consented. In line with the Data Protection Commission's guidance:
- refusing is exactly as easy as consenting — the "Accept all" and "Reject all" buttons are given equal prominence on the first layer of the banner;
- no box, slider or toggle is pre-ticked or set to "on" by default;
- continuing to browse, scrolling the page or clicking on page content is not consent, and we never treat it as consent by implication;
- we do not operate a cookie wall — access to the website is not made conditional on accepting tracking cookies;
- we do not treat your browser settings as a substitute for consent;
- we ask you to reaffirm your choice no later than six months after we store your consent state, which is the maximum period the Data Protection Commission considers appropriate.
You may change or withdraw your consent completely at any time using the "Cookie settings" button, which is permanently available in the footer of every page. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
If you do not accept cookies, the website still works. Some convenience features, such as remembering the contents of your basket between sessions or showing personalised recommendations, may not be available.
3. Strictly necessary cookies — — no consent required
Without these the website cannot function. They make it possible to log in, to operate the basket, to choose language and currency, to complete payment and to keep the site secure. We set them regardless of your choice, because they are strictly necessary for the service you have explicitly requested, within the exception in Regulation 5(5) of S.I. No. 336 of 2011.

The Data Protection Commission is explicit that advertising cookies are never strictly necessary and always require consent.

7. Third-party cookies and data transfers
Some cookies are set by the third parties named in the tables above. Those parties process data either as our processors or as independent controllers, depending on the service.
Where those parties transfer data to the United States of America, the transfer takes place on the basis of Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/1795 of 10 July 2023 on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified under that framework, and otherwise on the basis of the standard contractual clauses adopted by Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914. Transfers to the United Kingdom take place on the basis of Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1772.
More about the legal bases, retention periods and your rights is in the Privacy Notice.
8. Tracking technologies in emails
In emails we use tracking pixels that tell us whether a message has been opened and which links were clicked. We use this data to measure the performance of messages and to adapt content. You can disable tracking by turning off the automatic loading of images in your email client, or by unsubscribing from the newsletter.
9. Managing cookies in your browser
Besides our banner, you can also manage cookies in your browser settings, where you can refuse or delete them. Instructions are available in the help function of every browser. You can delete cookies already stored on your device at any time.
Browser settings do not on their own amount to valid consent, so we do not use them as a substitute for our banner.

We review the set of cookies at least once a year, and we take account of the Data Protection Commission's cookie compliance sweeps and any updated guidance it issues.
